How do you recognise a wart?

Warts generally appear as small skin growths, often located under the sole of the foot. They are whitish in colour, rough, rounded, generally flat and well-defined.

In contrast, the wart on the hand, or common wart, has a different appearance. It is often raised, the same colour as the skin or slightly flesh pink, smooth to the touch and slightly raised.

How do you get a wart?

Warts are caused by viruses that are transmitted mainly by direct contact with the skin or in damp environments. For example, plantar warts often appear after viral contamination in places such as swimming pools or sports halls. They develop more easily after bathing in heated water, which softens the corneal layer of the feet.

Can Verrupro PODERM® serum be used on another part of the body?

Verrupro PODERM® serum is designed specifically for the feet and hands. If the area to be treated is located elsewhere, it is recommended that you consult a dermatologist.

Is Verrupro PODERM® compatible with pregnancy or breastfeeding?

How can you tell if a wart is dead?

When the base of the wart has the same appearance as normal skin (i.e. no blackheads or thickened skin), you can consider that the wart has healed. However, we advise you to consult a dermatologist to confirm healing.
