This protection moulds perfectly to the shape of the foot, offering targeted protection for hallux valgus (commonly known as "bunion") deformity.

It provides immediate pain relief, reduces friction, distributes pressure and absorbs micro-shocks. The inner pad provides instant comfort, soothing, softening and repairing the affected area. It also helps prevent and reduce calluses and hard skin.

Do not apply to open or oozing wounds. For external use only and limited to a single patient, for a maximum of 16 hours a day. What are the symptoms of hallux valgus?

Some symptoms that may suggest the presence of hallux valgus :

Presence of pain in the big toe joint.
Difficulty putting on or wearing certain shoes.
Appearance of redness and inflammation.
Inward deviation of the big toe and bony protrusion on the outside of the foot.

What causes hallux valgus?

The bony deformity of hallux valgus manifests itself as a bump on the first metatarsal, on the inside of the foot. It is favoured by a number of factors, including heredity, age and the wearing of high-heeled or narrow-toed shoes.

Can hallux valgus be prevented?

Some simple measures can be taken to prevent problems. It is recommended to:

Wear soft, flat, wide shoes.
Avoid shoes with high heels and pointed toes.

To limit friction between the shoe and the bunion, also make sure that the seams of the shoes do not go through the conflict zone (the bunion).
