Toe deformity

Toe deformity

The most common toe deformities are claws (on toes 2 to 5) and hallux valgus on the big toe. A toe claw involves abnormal flexion of the phalangeal joint, giving a claw-like appearance.

The causes are often linked to unsuitable footwear, muscular imbalances, or neurological or rheumatological conditions.

OUR ADVICE

To correct or simply relieve the toe, your chiropodist can make a custom orthoplasty. For more severe forms, orthopaedic insoles can also be worn to reduce the discomfort caused by the consequences of the deformity on the rest of the foot.
